It has clearly been unknown to everyone as to which one of us our kids resemble more. If you ask my family, they will say our kids look like me. If you ask D Hub's family, they say our kids look like him. Sometimes they flat out say that they just have no clue who they look more like.
I came across a Look-alike Meter application at MyHeritage.com. You just upload a picture of the Mom, Dad, and the Child and it will tell you who the child resembles more. I tried out several different pictures and came up with the same results over and over.
Exhibit A: D Boy's Results
"Child looks equally like mom and dad"
Nooooo! I want an answer! I really want to settle this look-alike war between our families once and for all!
Exhibit B: D Girl's Results
"Child looks more like mom, by 6%"
Whoopdeedoo! Basically the same! Are you kidding me? That was the most it ever swayed towards a result.
I am just a little disappointed. I really wanted to settle this once and for all. I suppose it did get settled though...
Our kids are a perfect morph of both of us. So I guess now when someone says that they look a little more like one of us I can correct them. "Sorry to bust your buns, but I have scientific proof that they resemble both of us equally." We all know that this application is totally bogus legit.
Let's just see how bogus legit this meter is.

Hmm, that's odd. How can a child picture of ME look anything like D Hubs at all?
Now that obviously proves how legit my scientific proof is.
I suppose we will never know exactly who our kids really resemble more.

My family generally says Bree looks like me, and Paul's family says she looks him...but a lot of people say that she is a good mix between the two of us. I think she is too. It doesn't really bother me, because I think she is way prettier than me :)
I did that with Avery once and it said she looked more like Jason when clearly she looks like me! Whatevs!

Hmmm. Well? at least your kids resemble you. I have had people ask me if I am my son's step-mom. So, yeah, at least your kids looks half like you, right?

people always say i look like my mom, until they see my dad- i am like the mini-girl version of him- which is a little creepy, actually.

I had a best friend who looked exactly like her mom.
Then you saw her dad and she looked exactly like her dad.
It was weird, she had blue eyes and everyone else in the fam. had brown. But you couldn't say she was the milk mans cuz she looked exactly like both of her parents!

I love that you compared them. People randomly say that my kids look like me and then like my hubby. Somehow (which I don't get) my kids both came out with blonde hair and blue eyes (like me), my hubby has dark brown hair and eyes... and is 1/4 Syrian... genes are so strange!
That's awesome that you put in your own baby photo! I think our daughter looks mostly like hubs but he says she looks like me. 75% of others say she looks like him and the other 25% say she is a mix. They change so much in those first few years and one day she probably does look more like you and the next day more like hubs. Of course personality plays a big role too!

Sounds like a neat, albeit useless, application. lol. My husband and I actually resemble each other a bit, so when people say the kids look like either him or me, they're pretty much saying the same thing. lol
My boys are a perfect combo of both my hub and I..only time will tell who they favor huh?
That is the most hysterical application I've seen. You should put a picture of your kids with Angelina Jolie and Charlie Sheen and see which ones they look more like...hahaha...That is way less freaky than logging onto my FB a few weeks ago and all of my friends had changed their profile pics to celebrity look-alikes. Suddenly, I was friends with Tom Selleck, Brad Pitt, J Lo and Cameron Diaz.
I think you can't ask for much more perfection than resembling both of you equally!
Why did you have to go and do that? Post a pic of you? I was all set to go try it out...then that, now...why bother? Funny though. I would like an answer too.
I've used that thing before - even done it with celebs! We go back and forth with looks, too. But isn't that thing fun to mess with? I sat putting pics in it for hours one time. ;-)

my son mildly resembles me. my daughter MAY have my piggy nose. otherwise she looks like i adopted her.
That is too funny! I don't know who our kids look like more. Most people say, "They are so cute. They look just like Mark!" Oh, so I'm not cute???
