Random Tuesday - Free V-Day, Pro Micro, Dream Car, Piano Bar, Beachbody Coach

I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day. We didn't exactly celebrate it this year. We stayed home on Valentine's Eve while everyone else went out on their hot dates. On Valentine's Day we went to the grocery store. While we were there we did our card exchange like we always do for the holidays. We just pick out a card that we would buy each other, share it with one another, give hugs and thank yous and put it back on the shelf. Why waste like $8 on cards for each other when they're just going to be tossed in the trash?

I ended up buying some mircrofiber cloths to use instead of our bacteria infested sponges. So far I like them a lot! I bought 6 of them so I can change them out everyday and wash them every few days or whatever.

Our Service Engine light has been on in our car for a week or so now. So tomorrow I have to take it in to see what's wrong with it. Hopefully it's nothing big. We've had our Trailblazer for 5 years now and so far we haven't had any issues. We're crossing our fingers that it lasts us until this fall though. That's when the new 2011 Acadia Denali comes out. As of right now that's what we want. I've always wanted a Denali, so it'd be a dream come true for me. We'll see.

Saturday night I have plans to go out to a piano bar to celebrate a friend's birthday. Piano bars are so much fun, but I can already feel my hangover just thinking about it. Boo to getting old.

Tomorrow is Day 45 of P90x for D Hubs and I. We are half way done! I'm pretty sure when we are done that I'm going to take a break for a couple weeks and jump back in with another round of it. Or I might even try out Insanity. There's no going back now. This healthy lifestyle fits me. I love it. Which is exactly why I became a Beachbody Coach. I truly want to help others get to that point where they want to change their lifestyle too. I love how friendly the fitness world is. It's like one big happy family encouraging each other to do their best everyday. I know I appreciate the support I get from my workout buddies. I hope to spread that same kind of energy out there to someone else who needs to hear it too.

That's all of my randomness for today. If you want some more go over to Keely's!

I'm totally with you on the card thing. To me, they are a huge waste of money.

Congrats on the halfway mark! Are you seeing a big difference?

Congrats on the healthy lifestyle change! We have done that change in our house as well. I go to nutritional seminars that really focus on childrens eating habits. If you ever want to go let me know, they are usually only an hour long and they arent too boring!
Oh, and I am GREEN with envy over that Denali!!

I love P90X! How is it working for you? Total body transformation, or what?

Nothing wrong with a little random posting... I can't believe you guys are already at 45? That's just crazy! I can't wait to see the end results.

And how nice would a Denali be? Hope everything is okay with your Trailblazer though!

Happy Tuesday!

I love your card exchange!
Congrats on your lifestyle change for better health. I'm not there yet. Well, let's be honest...I'll neve be there. I love sugar, fat salt and carbs too much!

Happy Random Tuesday!

What a clever idea for exchanging cards— I never thought of that.

You will have to let us know how the microfiber cloths work. I would wind up mixing them up with the dish towels.

Thanks for your randomness,

Cards are so expensive. I should start doing that :) Of course, I don't throw anything like that way, so Hubby still has all of his cards, and I have mine :)

I may start P90x in the Summer. Not sure. But it feels so great to be healthy!

The coach thing is so cool! Congratulations on making the decision to do it. :) I really wish I had the dedication for P90x. Maybe if I can convince fiancé to do it with me...

I frigging love piano bars. There is one downtown here and I always have the best time when I go.

:) FYI, the check engine light is nothing to worry about.

They come on when you are close to a scheduled maintenance. Sometimes they come on because your gas cap isn't properly closed. Good to have someone reset it for you.

You only have to worry about the check engine light when it flashes. If it is flashing, you shouldn't be driving... I learned that the hard $1500 way. JS

:) Good job on the hardbody stuff!
I think that is so encouraging!

Great post! We didn't really celebrate Valentines either. I just bought some chocolate for the kids. Great idea with the cards. Hubby and I don't buy cards either, they are such a waste of $. I can say the same things to him!
When did you become a Beachbody coach? I am totally thinking of doing the same thing! I'm just wondering if Canadians qualify!? What does being a coach entail?

i've already decided that im going to more beachbody. i think i want to try insanity, too. tomorrow is my first day of the diet- for real this time. im finally in the 3nd phase, so i feel like witht the one extra carb it's more do able for me. I too, love how encouraging the beachbody people are. i was just talking to my hub the other day about how unnecessary it is for ppl to bring eachother down, and how much i appreciate all the p90x support from other p90x ers.

also, when our car dies im really really hoping to get a- shoot, what is it called? anyway. it's a 7 seater but not a minivan. and we really like it.

I love that you guys put the cards back on the shelf. Very cost effective. ;)

Microfiber cloths sound like a smart alternative too.

And I'm terrible about taking the car in when various lights turn on, it's usually weeks before I even notice.

OH my goodness...that is an AWESOME idea for the cards. We have friends who buy cards and then put post-it notes with their signatures in it so the card can be re-used...but I like your idea so much more!

And as a former fitness instructor/director/personal trainer, I say "go for it". The industry needs fresh faces and enthusiasm badly. I got completely burnt out on people's excuses about why they couldn't set 45 minutes aside per day to work out and why they HAD to eat fast food everyday. But I'm all for the inspired and the enthusiastic taking them on. I love the industry and I LOVE the fitness gurus. I just don't always love John Q Public. If you do Insanity, though, you're my hero. For realz.

Why oh why have I never seen your blog? I am now a follower of course! Shane over @Calgary Daddy recommended I check out your success with P90x since I just started(again)

We don't really do V Day, either, and we didn't even do cards this year. I am all for being green!

I've been working out pretty hard lately, too. Hoping by summer I might actually feel decently about myself when I put on my swimsuit...

I wish we had a piano bar where I lived! I've been to one once-- a dueling piano bar in Myrtle Beach-- and it was a load of fun!

I'm actually curious about insanity. From what I have heard I think it's even more geared for me than p90x. I already have a lot of strength, and am really just needing to lean out again. What's it all about?
